Morgan Opera House

WELCOME to the Morgan Opera House! Situated on the second floor of the Tudor style Aurora Free Library building, the intimately-sized theater is a restored Victorian gem featuring an original raked stage with pressed tin proscenium, splendidly crafted woodwork, and superb acoustics.

~~

Located in Aurora on the east side of Cayuga Lake, the Opera House is an easy and scenic drive from Rochester, Syracuse, Geneva, Ithaca and Auburn.

~~
Over one hundred years ago, Louise Morgan Zabriskie funded construction of the Tudor Revival building housing the theatre and the Aurora Free Library to serve as a community focal point.
~~

The Opera House is administered by a dedicated group of volunteers. Performances are selected to appeal to a wide range of audience tastes, and prices with families in mind.

This year, thanks to generous support, we are pleased to offer several performances free of charge.
~~

All of us at the Morgan Opera House hope that you will find many occasions to join us this season. We look forward to welcoming you in person.
