Morgan Opera House
|
WELCOME to the Morgan Opera House! Situated on the second floor
of the Tudor style Aurora Free Library building, the intimately-sized theater is a restored Victorian gem featuring
an original raked stage with pressed tin proscenium, splendidly crafted woodwork, and superb acoustics.

|
Located in Aurora on the east side of Cayuga Lake, the Opera House is an easy and
scenic drive from Rochester, Syracuse, Geneva, Ithaca and Auburn.
|
 |
~~
Over one hundred years ago, Louise Morgan Zabriskie funded construction of the Tudor Revival building housing the
theatre and the Aurora Free Library to serve as a community focal point.
~~
The Opera House is administered by a dedicated group of volunteers. Performances are selected to appeal
to a wide range of audience tastes, and prices with families in mind.
This year, thanks to generous support, we are pleased to offer several performances free
of charge.

All of us at the Morgan Opera House hope that you will find many occasions to join us this season. We look
forward to welcoming you in person.
